After years of sourcing products from some of the most esteemed brands worldwide, we decided to develop our own line of post-waxing and hair removal products designed to be the perfect treat for your skin. This development project involved over 12 months of research and development to find:

The Signature Scent
The signature scent of our first range is a refreshing and cooling mint and cucumber. We’ve included a fabulous array of active ingredients. What makes these superstar ingredients so special, and why did we choose them?
- Tea Tree Oil: Sourced from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree, native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. Known for its antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties, Tea Tree Oil is excellent for freshly waxed skin, as it helps ward off dirt and infections that could penetrate open pores.
- Benzoin: Similar to Tea Tree Oil, Benzoin has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties and acts as an astringent to accelerate wound healing, making it perfect post-wax. Additionally, it forms an invisible barrier that prevents moisture loss, keeping your skin smooth and supple.
- Cucumber Extract: A powerful scent that hydrates and soothes the skin, relieving puffiness, redness, itching, and discomfort caused by waxing. With so many benefits, Cucumber Extract was a must-have for the nkd team.
- Menthol: This minty scent is included in our cleansing wash and exfoliating scrub because it stimulates the body's thermoreceptors, creating a refreshing cooling effect.
- Spearmint Oil: Fresh and invigorating, this antiseptic oil cleanses and refreshes simultaneously, making it perfect for post-wax or other hair removal treatments.
- Salicylic Acid: Derived from willow bark, Salicylic Acid has long been used as an anti-inflammatory in herbal medicine. It penetrates the skin to clean out pores, dissolving dirt, grime, and oils, thus preventing ingrown hairs.
- Hyaluronic Acid: This amazing molecule can hold over 1000 times its weight in water, providing incredible hydration to keep your skin youthful and plump.
Additional Benefits
If you’re not already sold on these amazing new products, we have a few more fabulous things to tell you:
Vegan Range: The entire range is vegan. Although we don’t yet have the official vegan kitemark, it’s something we’re working towards.
UK Developed and Manufactured: The products are developed and manufactured exclusively in the UK, supporting a small UK-based business (which we’d love you for!).
Environmentally-Friendly Packaging: We’ve worked hard to source environmentally-friendly packaging solutions
- We use pouches containing 60% less plastic than equivalent bottles for travel sizes and hope to expand the use of pouches across the range based on customer feedback.
- The 300ml and 1L balm and wash come in P.E.T., an energy-efficient material that uses 40% less energy during production and is the most easily recycled plastic variant available today.
- We’re working towards refillable solutions in the future.
