All-Over Body Balm

I used this balm in a 10 week aftercare study I ran across seven brands and eight clients, and it made a real difference for the ingrown hair prone skin.

The thing that stood out was how it kept skin soft without going greasy. A lot of aftercare balms either sit on top of the skin and do nothing, or they're so rich they feel like they need washing off again. This one absorbed properly and the skin stayed comfortable for hours after.

Soft, supple skin matters more than people realise when it comes to ingrown hairs. New hair struggles to push through skin that's dry or flaky, so keeping it hydrated between hair removal sessions is half the battle. Clients using this consistently had noticeably fewer bumps by the end of the study, especially on the bikini line where irritation usually shows up first.

It also held up well on intimate skin, no stinging, no reaction, even on clients who normally can't use much down there.

If you're already exfoliating and want the moisturising step to actually pull its weight, this is the one I'd recommend.

I love the scent, fresh and a great balance of mint and cucumber. It's a thicker cream than many moisturises, and spreads well over the skin without being too greasy. Has really helped my dry hands. As with the other NKD products I've tired, at almost £16, it's pricey for a moisturiser. It's targeted for post shaving use, so if used once or twice a week, I might be able to justify that cost.. but with how the economy is.. products like this are harder to justify spending that mucg on. That said, it is very nice.

This isn't the cheapest bottle of body cream especially for the size but I'm in love with it.It smells soooo good and feels beautiful on the skin.It's a nice thick buttery cream that's so smooth and easy to rub in and leaves skin feeling soft and smelling delicious.Natural ingredients and beautiful quality.Very highly recommend. eEvery time I shave my legs with a razor, my skin gets irritated, red, and it takes a few days to heal. I have never used any cream after waxing before, until the moment I decided to try Nkd, I can say that I really like the result. I have tried it twice after shaving and I noticed that my skin is not irritated, it is not red as before, on the contrary, it is very soft, hydrated and with a fantastic aroma. The cream came in a bottle with a pump, which makes it easy to get the product. The price seems a little high, but considering that there is a lot in the bottle and you need very little to use it, this cream will last for a long time.

Having used the exfoliating scrub by this brand and being impressed with it, I wanted to try the balm for added moisture after showering and shaving. This balm, like other products has a cool tea tree and mint kind of smell, with is light and refreshing to the skin. With dry and sensitive skin I need to moisturise after hair removal, so this feels nice, goes into the skin very easily and feels cooking and fresh without being too much of a lingering smell to interfere with perfume, etc. I would be interested to try more product from this brand, I have been impressed by both so far.

My body balm dispenser arrived broken despite being packaged well which was disappointing! However I can still unscrew part of the pump and use this amazing product. I’m still giving this product 5⭐️ despite this because I can’t even describe how soft your skin is after using, it’s smoother and softer than baby soft skin! And the scent is so fresh and natural too, Mint & Cucumber is clearly a magic combination. Highly recommend after waxing and exfoliating!

Sometimes cucumber and/or mint smells a bit harsh and cold. This smells exactly as you'd expect, but in a very subtle way - it has what I'd call a 'soft' scent which is far more appealing than the more astringent scent you might be expecting.I don't wax, but I do shave and epilate and sometimes get that 'plucked chicken-skin' look that really isn't attractive and can be quite sore. I've never come across something that is designed especially for that eventuality, so it's nice to find something that might help.It's a very rich cream - a little goes a long way so no need to slather it on thick - use a small amount, you can always put more on if needed. You don't need to use it exclusively on skin that's just had hair removed - it's fine as a general moisturiser too.I like it and will use it, particularly in the run up to holidays when we all take that little extra care of our skin.At £15.75 for 250ml (as at 19 March 2023) this is a pretty decent buy. Certainly worth a shot if you want help with 'chicken-skin'.

This is a Nice thick moisturiser.It has a lovely scentNice smell- it initially smells just like cucumber but when rubbed in it has a slight mint smell too It does not sting face or eyes.A little goes a long way. It has a Creamy texture , a little sticky and greasy but feels like it is really moisturising your skin.It comes in a pump bottle that is easy to control the amount you want to dispense.It Lasts overnight and keeps you moisturised for hours.It isn’t cheap at £15.99 but if it’s within your budget then it’s worth trying.

I love the natural ingredients in this balm. It has a very nice fresh smell.It is soothing and refreshing.You can use this every day if you wish - not just after shaving/waxing.

The scent on this and the body scrub is very pleasant, mildly minty and cucumber fresh. I do think that they are also ideal for use at home after epilating. If I use an epiliator in the morning, I still have the plucked look at night so the cream will ease that. The body scrub would be for use between waxing, epilating to prevent ingrowing hairs. Luckily, I don't tend to suffer from this to any great extent, but who doesn't like soft skin.The product is quite thick when it comes out of the pump action bottle. It takes a while to dry, but the results are very soft. Of the two products, I do prefer the scrub, because I prefer my lotions on the thinner side.I do think this will have been designed to work perfectly for anyone shaving or waxing.Both products are really nice, I read the back story behind the lady who owns the waxing salons in the Midlands and this is a great British entreprenuer success story. She's grown her business and launching these products on the market is the next step.Happy to recommend them, no problems using either.

A rich, lightly scented, soothing cream which absorbs easily. Great for all skins and very effective on dry skin.

This smells incredible! Super happy with now it soaks into my skin without leaving it greasy! Feels very luxurious on the skin and doesn’t flare up my psoriasis. Will most definitely buy again!

Love the luxury feel of this balm and the results I got after a few days of using it! So rich but also absorbs easily and leaves skin feeling and smelling so nice!! I’ve been using this after waxing and shaving and it’s been great to sooth my skin but also to keep it bump free! Love it!

I’m in my mid-70s and need to use a body moisturiser very regularly. Having tried numerous products over the years, this definitely comes out on top. It is sufficiently creamy to spread well & is absorbed easily. It smells fresh, & leaves my skin feeling soft & young. It may cost more than other similar products but in this case one definitely gets what one pays for.

This can be used for any area, after shaving or just as a body balm. It is lovely and thick and cooling so it is good to use post shaving but it doesn't have to be. I like the smell too. When I test body products I often give them to my mum to try as she has really sensitive skin and she did find that this burned after putting this on. My skin is also sensitive but nothing like hers and I had no issues.

I love this lotion - I have used so many body lotions and balms over the years and this is a cross between a body butter and a body lotion- it's nice and thick and creamy, goes on really well and smells amazing! You don't need much as it goes a long way, really pleased I found this

I absolutely love this cream and it leaves me feeling fresh and moisturised however both my children said it made them itchy.

I always come out of the waxing place looking like Mr blobby with red blotchy brows and lip/chin region superseded by the fact I'm embarrassed. Not any more - my last appointment I asked for this to be applied post waxing, it was soothing and reduced redness almost 100%. Although not marketed for your feet I used this on my tender foot which was blistered. In fact I got this for that purpose. It really helped sooth the tender spot and I think it helped the foot heal faster.Absorbed really well and very effective.

This body balm is a lovely product, I use it after using the matching exfoliating cream by the same brand. The smell at first smells very strong and a bit pungent in the bottle (exactly like Tszaziki dip in all honesty) however I’m pleased to say that once you eject some into your hand and rub it in the smell is lovely, very subtle, minty and refreshing, so if you smell it in store don’t let the initial ‘in bottle’ smell put you off, it’s a different case when you’re actually using it. It glides on lovely and my skin drinks it right up. It’s a tad pricey for a moisturiser at £15.75 currently, so perhaps one to save for special occasions or if you fancy a pamper day with higher end items.

I was regularly and sometimes it is as though a tiny layer of skin came off in the process, along with the hair. The result is a stingy red welt along the skin which is not very pleasant at all. This pump action lightly mint scented balm is calming and cooling and you will find that a little bit will go a long way. A gentle skin reliever and moisturiser which I would recommend.
